Introduced as a TV movie in April 1975, Starsky and Hutch immediately entered the annuals of TV history as the first high profile cop show to shatter the mould of solo detectives. Dave Starsky and Ken Hutchinson were streetwise detectives with polar opposite characters and a penchant for guns, girls and squealing tyres.
